Mother's sister passed away just 15 days after mother. They shared this world for over 81 years. We miss them dearly. This is a photo of Mary at Agnes' Memorial.

We celebrate her life not only as the mother of her children but as the mother of many in her community and family. Mother is unconditional love.

Note: Sacred Heart Church has been the family church since before 1945. Founded: 1912, Households: 620. Dad and I attended service there this morning. I found Fr. Pastro to be a kind and wonderful person. Sacred Heart Church has changed over the years like many urban churches. My Family’s generation is slowly fading away and church was only partially filled. I came back to hear the music at the next Mass, which was in Spanish. I was surprised to find the church nearly full. I was looking for ideas about music for Mom’s services. I wish that my son Dan were able to come home from the Peace Corps and help us with the music.

Note: Mother’s gravesite is located under a tree a short distance from her Mother (Catherine Haas) and Father’s (Fred Haas) gravesite and my Dad’s mother’s (Flora Farmer) gravesite. We paid for a new marker for Flora’s gravesite because we found the lettering to almost not be legible. There are many generations of my family buried at the Tacoma Calvary Cemetery.

My family wishes to thank all of you for helping us celebrate Mother's life. Special thanks goes to Sacred Heart Church and Fr .Vincent Pastro, the music provided by Dave and Colleen Thomas with my son Dave (Amazing Grace) , and Bill and Joyce Paxson (we loved Joyce's "Give me Jesus") and the church organist Donna Hawkins. We can not forget to thank the many volunteers that helped with the reception.

Sacred Heart Church is the church and school of my childhood where I have many fond memories.
