Visitation (Church) is Scene of Impressive Ceremony

One hundred friends and relatives gathered at Visitation Church Thursday morning for the marriage of Miss Agnes Haas, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Haas, 4510 South Washington street, and Robert D. Farmer, son of Mrs. Flora Farmer of Altoona, IA and Robert M. Farmer of Tacoma. The Rev. Dominic Hack, O. S. B., performed the ceremony in the church decorated with chrysanthemums and palms.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a suit of grapewine with a blouse of white satin. Her corsage as of gardenias and pink rosebuds and she carried an ivory prayerbook and crystal rosary beads. Her sister, Miss Mary Haas, who attended her, wore a sport suit of tweed and gapewine with a blouse of pink satin. Her corsage was of gardenias and talisman roses. Francis Haas was best man and William Johnston ushered. Mrs. William Johnston of Seattle and Miss Catherine Boehmer, cousins of the bride, sang.

After the ceremony, a wedding breakfast for members of the immediate families was served at the home of the bride's parents. Mrs. Haas was dressed in brown, with a corsage of Talisman roses. In the afternoon, a reception was held for friends of the families. The wedding cake surrounded by white chrysanthemums formed the centerpiece and was flanked by white tapers. Mrs. G. Herbert of Auburn, aunt of the bride, presided and Mrs. R Bates assisted about the rooms. The new home will be at 3218 South Alaska Street.
