This is about my life as a leukemia and bone marrow transplant
survivor.
It is about my personal experience
and cancer activism.
In September of 1993, I had a very successful bone marrow transplant at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. I owe my life to my brother John, the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, and the doctors and staff of Group Health Cooperative. I am very grateful to Dr. Don Thomas whose research made my treatment possible. Of course, I must not forget my dear wife and caregiver. Carol is my love of 45 years and the mother of our four children. No words can express how important she is to my life and recovery.
