Hello friends!

 

I am sorry that I have been so absent from the list recently. I haven't felt

very good lately.

 

Folks, I have some bad news. I had a biopsy of my chest wall last week and a

mass that I have there has been diagnosed as being Non-Hodgkins lymphoma. I

have relapsed again. I am seventeen months post allogenaic transplant (at the

Hutch). I had an autologous transplant a year earlier in Cleveland.

 

Today the doctors at the Hutch in Seattle are going to consider my case and will

discuss whether or not they may be able to help me. I really hope that they

have a protocol for me or some ideas for me. I WANT TO FIGHT!! I WANT TO LIVE!!

I want to get back into remission because I believe that exciting new therapies

are just around the corner and I want to live long enough that I can take

advantage of them!

 

QUESTION: I am very interested in doing the Buffy-Coat procedure but since I may

already have some GVHD (we did a skin biopsy yesterday) - Buffy-Coat may not be

possible. Has anyone out there ever had the Buffy-Coat procedure even though

they had GVHD?

 

QUESTION: I am very interested in MONO-CLONAL ANTIBODIES. I have read about some

interesting stuff that Dr. Mark Kaminski has been doing at the U. of Michigan. I

think that I may not be a good candidate for his study because I have already

had radiation. However, I have heard if studies where drugs are used instead of

radioactive isotopes. Does anyone have any info about anyone doing Mono-Clonal

Antibodies studies for relapsed lymphoma?
